The Dötlinger GartenKultour e.V., in cooperation with the regional partners: Kulturförderung des Landkreises Oldenburg, Regionale Kulturförderung der Oldenburgischen Landschaft and Volksbank eG Oldenburg-Land Delmenhorst, is awarding a 5-week working stay at the former artists’ colony in Dötlingen.
The aim of the residency is to keep the historical significance of the Dötlingen artists’ colony alive, to reinterpret it and at the same time to make contemporary artistic positions on landscape painting visible.
The scholarship is aimed at professional artists with a focus on landscape painting who are interested in an intensive working stay in the inspiring surroundings of the Wildeshauser Geest Nature Park.
During this time, works of art are to be created that open up a dialog between history and today’s reality. The technique is freely selectable, whether oil, watercolor, ink, mixed media, collage or material paintings with earth or natural pigments.
