The promotion of art has a long tradition in the district of Esslingen. Art also plays an important role in the new district administration building, which is expected to be occupied in the fall of 2025.
As part of the new building, the district of Esslingen is inviting artists to submit proposals for the artistic design of the inner courtyard. The aim is to turn this publicly accessible space into an extraordinary place with a high quality of stay through an artistic idea.
The selected artistic design will be a central component of the new building’s art décor and will be seen by both staff and visitors on a daily basis.
The call is aimed at academically trained artists with a connection to the district of Esslingen or the Stuttgart region.
A total budget of 100,000 euros (gross) is available for the design, implementation and installation.
