Workshop leader wanted in Leipzig

Workshop leader (d/w/m) wanted for the project “A city draws – Leipzig”:

“A City Draws” is a participatory cultural project in which pupils explore their city through drawing and document it artistically under the guidance of artists and/or art educators. With the “A City Draws” project, artist Yadegar Asisi is bringing drawing back to the center of public attention as a fundamental cultural technique. Following the successful launch in Lutherstadt Wittenberg, the project will now also be carried out in Leipzig in 2025. The project is being developed in close cooperation between the Office for Schools of the City of Leipzig and the Institute for Art Education at Leipzig University. Five schools have signed up to take part in the project, including three elementary school, a special school with a focus on physical and motor development and a grammar school. The project is externally funded (final funding approval still pending).

Detailed information can be found in the attached call for applications. If you have any questions about the project, please contact Maria Schmager from the Office for Schools by email at – inquiries should include a brief presentation of previous experience, motivation and contact details.
