Goals<\/h1>\n\n

The Berufsverband Bildender K\u00fcnstler Sachsen-Anhalt e.V. is an association that supports professional artists. It sees itself as a community of solidarity and offers opportunities to develop personal initiative. The BBK Saxony-Anhalt currently has around 380 members <\/a>from all districts and independent cities in the state. The general meeting determines the objectives of the association’s work. The honorary Board of Directors <\/a>is elected for three years at a time and implements the resolutions of the General Meeting. The business is managed by salaried employees<\/a>. Essential prerequisites for our work are the preservation of artistic freedom and respectful interaction with one another.<\/p>\n\n

The BBK pursues cultural policy goals – such as the appropriate appreciation and remuneration of artistic work<\/a> – and supports numerous partners from politics, culture, education and business with its expertise. The Board of Directors, employees and numerous committed members ensure broad networking at municipal and state level. The members plan joint initiatives and exchange ideas in working groups <\/a>. As a competent and well-networked association, the BBK Saxony-Anhalt regularly provides artists in the state with up-to-date information and increases the visibility of its members.<\/p>\n\n

The BBK cooperates with the “Kulturwerk des BBK-Sachsen-Anhalt e.V.”<\/a> for the mediation of visual art. Both associations support numerous regular and occasional projects. The regular projects are: <\/p>\n\n
