Scholarships are awarded to people who are no older than 40 or who graduated from university no more than five years ago. Students enrolled at a university cannot be included in the selection. Doctoral students are eligible to apply. Some scholarships are awarded without an age limit in accordance with a special regulation. As part of a scholarship, there is the opportunity to realize a project. Between 50 and 65 scholarship holders are selected every 24 months. There are 45 studios and three guest studios available for them. Scholarships are usually awarded for a period of six, nine or twelve months. Group applications are generally permitted. Applicants who are not accepted in a selection procedure can reapply for a maximum of two further calls for applications. Former fellows of Akademie Schloss Solitude are excluded from the application process. Language skills in German and\/or English and\/or French are required.
