For the new building of the information center of the Nuremberg Georg Simon Ohm University of Applied Sciences, a restricted &#8220;Art in Architecture&#8221; competition with a preliminary open application procedure is being held. The new information center building has already been completed. A library, a computer center and an underground car park were built. In the outdoor area, the implementation of the open space planning concept created a central campus for the university between the existing buildings and the new building.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Interested artists can apply to take part in this competition.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The competition is intended to develop and shape an artistic idea to complement the construction task. The aim of art in architecture is to strengthen the acceptance and identification of users with their building and the public, to attract attention and to give the location an additional profile.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Type of competition:<\/strong><br\/>Non-open &#8220;Art in architecture&#8221; competition with preceding open application procedure<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Awarded by:<\/strong><br\/>Free State of Bavaria, represented by the<br\/>State Building Authority Erlangen-Nuremberg<br\/>Nuremberg office building<br\/>Flaschenhofstrasse 55<br\/>90402 Nuremberg<br\/>Tel.
