The BBK Saxony-Anhalt has been observing the problems of dealing with artistic bequests and estates for many years. He is committed to keeping this topic in the political discourse and finding solutions. He will now examine whether a center for artists’ estates could be expedient. The state government also attaches great importance to this idea and is providing the support stipulated in the current coalition agreement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of a project funded by the state of Saxony-Anhalt, the BBK Saxony-Anhalt is conducting a comprehensive study between 2024 and 2026 on the possible establishment of a center for artists’ estates in the state of Saxony-Anhalt.\nThe project will initially record the needs in the state both of the visual artists concerned and of the estate holders as well as the relevant museums and archives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The survey, to which all visual artists and estate holders are invited, will be conducted from September 15 to November 15, 2024.\nThe questionnaires will be sent both by post and digitally, for example via the BBK newsletter, social media and distribution lists of other associations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
