Following the open call \/ call for participation in the joint exhibition, exclusively for BBK artists outside of Halle\/Saale, we received numerous applications. 10 artists were selected to present their works in the exhibition. The exhibition “Das ferne Land” is more than just an exhibition – it is a platform for exchange, networking and the discovery of new perspectives. The selected artists, all members of the Berufsverband Bildender K\u00fcnstler Sachsen-Anhalt (BBK), bring their unique positions and creative forms of expression to illuminate the theme of “distance” from different angles. This multifaceted show includes works from the fields of painting, sculpture, photography and installation that deal with questions of distance, travel and the perception of the unknown. The exhibition invites visitors to question their own boundaries and encourages dialog between the artists and visitors. In addition to exploring the most diverse positions, the exhibition is also conceived as a networking meeting where the focus is on exchanging ideas and getting to know each other. We look forward to opening this exciting dialog together with you and are excited about the new perspectives that will arise from this encounter. The great interest in this format has made us realize how valuable the exchange and the opportunity for collaboration are for the artistic positions in Saxony-Anhalt. For this reason, we are planning to realize a similar joint exhibition at a different location in the summer and look forward to calling for it again at a later date.
