The show by the Kulturwerk of the BBK Saxony-Anhalt brings together a diverse selection of contemporary works by 29 artists who were accepted into the professional association in 2023. <\/p>\n\n<p>With them are: Eileen Farida Almarales Noy | Tim Apmann | Tom Apmann | Ulrike Basner | Claudius F\u00f6rster | Friedrich Hensen | Heinrich Herbr\u00fcgger | Julia Himmelmann | Manuela Homm | Antonia Jungk | Bj\u00f6rn Kahle | Maximilian Koch | Dana L\u00e1szl\u00f3 da Costa | Anke Leonhardt | Christoph Liedtke | Anne Martin | Sofia Mayer | Linda Margarete | Katja Neubert | Till Neuenfeldt | Bernd Neumann | Romy Pfeiffer | Astrid Salewski | Desiree Sander | Stephan Schieritz | Helen Schneider | Katharina Stark | Franz Gabriel Walther | Katharina Willsch-Werner<\/p>\n\n<p>The imposing brick building of the Kunsthaus, once a girls&#8217; secondary school, has developed into an internationally recognized art venue in the Altmark region. The space provides the ideal setting for a cross-genre exhibition that reflects the spectrum of current artistic practice in Saxony-Anhalt. Some of the artists come from Halle and studied at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design, while the &#8220;newcomers&#8221; are spread across the entire state. Three of them live and work in the Altmark.   <\/p>\n\n<p>Visitors can expect a multi-layered exhibition concept. Among other things, innovative works made of wool will be on display, implemented in wall and room textures. In addition, glass, ceramics, bronze, concrete and porcelain are represented, which have been reinterpreted in terms of material aesthetics. In the exhibition rooms, the works appear freely suspended, floating, in standing formations and sculpturally shining out of themselves. Different works relate to each other and enter into a dialog. Common subjects create affinities that reflect the current zeitgeist. In addition to video works, there are classical paintings, experimental photography and graphic drawings. Humor is also given a place here, and some works are deliberately irritating, but reveal themselves at second glance.         <\/p>\n\n<p>In short: there&#8217;s a lot to discover &#8211; and it doesn&#8217;t get any fresher than this!<\/p>\n\n<p>This project is funded by the state of Saxony-Anhalt, Lotto Toto GmbH Saxony-Anhalt and the district of Altmark.<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bbk-sachsenanhalt.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/bbk-gf-katalog-komplett-web.pdf\">Brochure as PDF<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Vernissage<\/h3>\n\n<p>We cordially invite you to the vernissage on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at 3 p.m.  <\/p>\n\n<p>After a welcome by the organizer and the Kunsthaus Salzwedel, as well as a greeting by Susanne Bethke, Head of the Department of Culture, Saxony-Anhalt Memorials Foundation, there will be an introduction to the exhibition by curator Heinrich Herbr\u00fcgger and an artist talk with the participating artists Friedrich Hensen, Manuela Homm and Bj\u00f6rn Kahle, moderated by curator Susanne Klingenberg.
