An important quote has been displayed on the shop window of the BBK office in Halle’s old town since September 1, 2025:<\/p>\n\n

It never stops that you have to say something.<\/em><\/strong> (Antje R\u00e1vik Strubel)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n

We would like to thank the WIR Festival for the great initiative they have put together in such a short space of time. We are delighted to be part of the WIR. <\/p>\n\n

WIR celebrates literature, but goes beyond a reading festival. WIR invites people to meet and exchange ideas. Diversity and respectful discourse are the basis of an open society based on solidarity. WIR stands for tolerance, respect and democratic coexistence. <\/p>\n\n

Whether in Halle or at another location – everyone is invited to organize an action or event where people meet in a WE.<\/p>\n\n

A campaign will also take place as part of the Open Studios in Saxony-Anhalt<\/a> festival: On Sunday, September 21, 2025, the little word “we” will be staged in a big way together with passers-by. A campaign by Petra Reichenbach and Peter Piek.<\/p>\n\n
