Green in December symbolizes hope and the promise that light will return after the darkness. Green stands for confidence, new beginnings, growing together &#8211; and it is also part of the Christmas season. The exhibition is the provisional conclusion of the joint project &#8220;Mechanical Shop Window&#8221;, on which the Dessau artists&#8217; group worked together.<br\/>For three months, ideas were shared, materials tried out and various themes explored:   <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>October &#8211; &#8220;Risography&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>November &#8211; &#8220;Coffee machine&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>December &#8211; &#8220;Green&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the last exhibition, we celebrate the idea of community: many different people and artists &#8211; one common goal: making art visible and connecting them with each other.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The opening is on 01.12. at 18:00. Everyone is invited to come along and take a look in the shop window &#8211; art for everyone, in the middle of Dessau.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">____<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The BBK shop window has been in Dessau since October 2022 &#8211; now it is becoming the site of a special community project. The artists&#8217; association &#8220;Dessau und Umgebung&#8221;, or DuU for short, which has come together under the umbrella of the BBK, is currently working on an unusual idea: the &#8220;Mechanical Shop Window&#8221;. <br\/>This is the prototype of an art presentation machine that will display various works by Dessau artists in the BBK shop window. The special feature: the works of art are moved by a mechanical construction and presented to the public in a new way &#8211; a moving gallery in public space. Visitors can set the machine in motion at the touch of a button and thus actively discover the works.<br\/>This idea was realized in close collaboration with the creative minds of the Werkstattcaf\u00e9.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the &#8220;Mechanical Showcase&#8221;, the participants are taking up a project that students of the historic Bauhaus were already working on.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since October, monthly changing joint exhibitions have been presented mechanically.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Parallel to the construction of the machine, a report was produced on the Offener Kanal Dessau, which presents the project idea and the artists involved.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At the end of the year, the artists of the BBK Dessau are showing works on the theme of &#8220;green&#8221;.
