The Bernhard M\u00fcller-Feyen Art Foundation is awarding the Bernhard M\u00fcller-Feyen Art Prize 2026. Bernhard M\u00fcller-Feyen created sculptures as well as paintings, which are often in an exciting dialog with each other. His work is characterized by a clear, abstract formal language.(https:\/\/www.kunststiftung-bmf.com\/ZUM-WERK)<\/a><\/p>\n\n

The competition is aimed equally at sculptors and painters. Artists who combine both disciplines or develop their work at the interface between painting and sculpture are particularly suited to the spirit on which this prize is based.Artists who have not yet reached the age of 35<\/strong>, are resident in Germany and have completed their studies at an art academy are eligible to participate. <\/p>\n\n

Award<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The Bernhard M\u00fcller-Feyen Art Prize is endowed with \u20ac5,000. In addition, three finalists will receive prize money of \u20ac1,000 each. In November (autumn\/winter) 2026, an exhibition will be organized in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler with the artworks of the prizewinners and finalists, which will be placed in a dialogue with the work of Bernhard M\u00fcller-Feyen. A commemorative publication will be produced on the occasion of the exhibition. The prize money will be presented to the winner at a ceremony at the opening of the exhibition.The jury consists of Berthold Pott (gallery owner, Cologne), Anne Gantef\u00fchrer-Trier (art historian), Wolfgang Rossa (collector, chairman of the foundation board), Anne M\u00fcller-Feyen (granddaughter of the artist, member of the foundation board). <\/p>\n\n

Application<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The closing date for applications is 31.03.2026. Applications must be submitted digitally. Artists can apply directly.After reviewing the digital applications, those shortlisted will be selected in a first round. They will be contacted by the Art Foundation and must deliver the works to Adenau for a final selection round. The costs of delivery are to be borne by the applicants themselves. In the final selection round, one prize winner will be selected and awarded 5000 \u20ac. Three further finalists will receive a recognition prize of \u20ac1000 each. Both the award winner and the selected finalists will be shown in the subsequent exhibition. <\/p>\n\n
