In principle, there is no party-political neutrality requirement for independent organizations and NGOs. However, the terms “neutrality, neutrality requirement or neutrality obligation” are used throughout civil society. They are commonly misinterpreted, used inappropriately by administrations and instrumentalized politically and strategically by right-wing extremists.
