{"id":39923,"date":"2026-06-17T14:29:53","date_gmt":"2026-06-17T12:29:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bbk-sachsenanhalt.de\/?p=39923"},"modified":"2026-06-17T14:30:01","modified_gmt":"2026-06-17T12:30:01","slug":"running-of-water-emerging-comics-competition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bbk-sachsenanhalt.de\/en\/running-of-water-emerging-comics-competition\/","title":{"rendered":"John Ruskin Prize"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The John Ruskin Prize is open to entries from artists, designers, and makers\u2014amateur or professional\u2014from anywhere in the world.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year&#8217;s theme is &#8220;Not for Present Delight.&#8221; In an era marked by environmental urgency and social inequality, &#8220;Not for Present Delight&#8221; explores what it means to create with an awareness of the consequences, while also posing the question: must art serve a purpose beyond itself? <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Prize welcomes works in all media, including drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, photography, textiles, animation, mixed media, digital art, performance, installation, and more<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The selection panel will choose works to be included in an exhibition at Trinity Buoy Wharf in London.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Four winners will receive prizes totaling \u00a39,500: a first prize of \u00a33,000, the Alan Davidson Under 26 Prize of \u00a31,000, the Ruskin Mill Trust Prize of \u00a33,000, and the Chelsea Arts Club Award of \u00a32,500.<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/bdfil.ch\/concours\/prix-bdfil-2026\/?utm_source=callforORG\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Further information<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Application deadline: November 17, 2026<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The John Ruskin Prize is open to entries from artists, designers, and makers\u2014amateur or professional\u2014from anywhere in the world.
