In its eleventh year, the art competition is dedicated to the Spanish Civil War and the themes of memory, resistance, and hope in times of fascist rise. Against this backdrop, the M\u00fcnzenberg Forum has chosen as its motto the epitaph of Luc\u00eda S\u00e1nchez Saornil, the Spanish writer, anarchist, and co-founder of the anarchist organization Mujeres Libres, which fought against the Francoists during the Spanish Civil War: \u201cBut \u2026 is it true that hope is dead?\u201d<br\/>The M\u00dcNZENBERG FORUM BERLIN is seeking submissions in the individual categories that use the respective artistic media to explore today\u2019s sociopolitical conditions and developments within the context of this theme.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The competition is open to all artists in Germany and abroad who have not yet turned 40 as of April 1, 2026.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In each category, prize money of up to 5,000 \u20ac is offered, which will be distributed among all winners by a jury.<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/muenzenbergforum.de\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Further information<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Application deadline: August 6, 2026<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The M\u00fcnzenberg Forum Berlin is holding its art competition for the eleventh time, featuring three categories: photography, film, and collage.
