The letter is a call for fair recoupment procedures in the cultural and creative industries. It also provides information on the current situation and offers case studies. This comes against the backdrop of numerous cases in which cultural organizations and self-employed individuals are facing substantial repayment demands years after the pandemic. Many had relied on this aid during the pandemic to be able to continue operating at all amid massive restrictions. Today, the economic consequences of the pandemic continue to be felt in many places. At the same time, unclear or retroactively changed interpretations of funding guidelines are causing considerable uncertainty.
