Since the last award ceremony took place in 2019, the Bremerv\u00f6rde Art Prize\u2014worth 6,000 euros\u2014is now set to be awarded for the seventh time in 2027. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The \u201cDr. Marlene Trentwedel Foundation\u201d has existed since 1985. It was established based on a testamentary provision by Friedrich Trentwedel, a resident of Bremerv\u00f6rde who died on March 20, 1984, in memory of his wife, Dr. Marlene Trentwedel. Since then, the foundation has been dedicated to \u201cpromoting the visual arts\u2014specifically painting, sculpture, and architecture\u2014in the Elbe-<br\/>Weser Triangle.\u201d <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The art prize is to be awarded in 2027 in the field of sculpture as part of Bremerv\u00f6rde\u2019s 175th anniversary celebrations. Artists from across Germany are invited to submit designs for a new sculpture that engages with and reflects the history of Bremerv\u00f6rde or the themes of water, the Oste River, the harbor, and Lake V\u00f6rder. This sculpture is to be ceremonially unveiled to the public in September 2027 as part of Bremerv\u00f6rde\u2019s city anniversary celebrations.
