In the future, gravitational waves\u2014tiny distortions of spacetime that can be detected using highly sensitive detectors and provide insights into the most distant events in the cosmos\u2014will be measured within the region\u2019s massive granite massif. The exceptional geological stability and seismic tranquility of the Lusatian granite create ideal conditions for this.
