The work will be created through a participatory process with Shift. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>In brief<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Commission: A one-time, temporary light artwork projected onto the scaffolding canvas of Leuven City Hall<br\/>Presentation period: Wintertijd, from December 8, 2026, to January 10, 2027<br\/>Budget: \u20ac50,000, including VAT and production costs<br\/>Participation: A process involving young people (aged 12\u201325) from Shift, a digital youth center in the Schouwburg in Leuven<br\/>Application deadline: September 1, 2026<br\/>Who is issuing this call?<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br\/>This open call is a collaboration between three partners: City of Leuven \u2013 Leuven\u2019s 15th-century Gothic town hall has been closed since the fall of 2025 for a thorough restoration. In 2029, it will reopen as the Town Hall \u2013 European House for Democracy: a shared meeting place for the people of Leuven and visitors, and one of the highlights of Leuven\u2019s designation as European Capital of Culture 2030.<br\/>LOV2030 \u2013 Leuven &amp; Beyond \u2014 the title under which Leuven and the thirty municipalities of East Brabant were designated European Capital of Culture 2030 in 2025. Under the \u201cHumanNature\u201d concept, LOV2030 uses culture to build a warmer, more connected region, centered on the pillars of Human, Nature, and Innovation.<br\/>Shift \u2013 a digital and creative youth center in Leuven\u2019s Schouwburg, an initiative of Link in de Kabel in collaboration with 30CC.
