Regional, national, and international submissions are expressly encouraged. We are seeking concepts for artworks to be permanently installed in the Water Garden area. The works should establish a connection to the site and address aspects such as mining culture, industrial history, change, transformation, the future, the architectural context, or the surrounding natural environment.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The total costs, including the artist&#8217;s fee, production, and installation of the artworks, should range from \u20ac2,000 to \u20ac60,000.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The selection process consists of two stages.<\/p>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>After the application deadline, all submitted concepts will first be reviewed for compliance with formal, content-related, and technical requirements. Proposals that meet these requirements will be presented digitally and on-site at the Wassergarten Reden during the Steiger Gallery\u2019s pilot phase from September 25 to October 25, 2026. During this period, visitors will have the opportunity to explore and evaluate the proposals. At the end of October, a panel of experts will meet to select suitable proposals for further development. The visitors\u2019 votes will be factored into the decision.     <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The selected artists will then be invited to further develop their technical and financial plans. The selection of a concept and the award of a grant of up to \u20ac1,000.00 for its development do not automatically mean that the work will be realized in 2027.
