Together with Sparkasse Burgenlandkreis, Merseburg University of Applied Sciences, the Rotary Club Weißenfels, the Saaleck Design Academy and Naumburg Theater, Burgenlandkreis invites all interested photographers and photography enthusiasts to take part in this year’s district photography competition. The motto of this year’s competition is “Lust for more”.
One photo can be submitted per participant – either digitally via an online form or by post. Please note that image files can only be submitted in JPG or JPEG format with a minimum pixel count of 4,000 pixels. Analog photographs must have the format 40 cm x 60 cm. The closing date for entries is June 30, 2025.
In August, a five-member, independent and expert jury will deliberate on the works submitted. The prizes are awarded in two categories: Young photographers up to the age of 25 and established photographers from the age of 26. In the young talent category, five winners will be able to take part in a photography workshop with Naumburg photographer Norbert Kottmann – three further photographs will be awarded prize money of 75 euros each. In the “Established” category, three winners will receive prize money of 300 euros each.
