The town of Gaildorf offers professional freelance artists the opportunity to live and work for a year in the centrally located Old Castle.
For the duration of the stay, the city grants the scholarship holders a cash stipend of 500 euros per month. The living and working space will be provided rent-free for twelve months – from January to December – including incidental rental costs.
With this studio and residential scholarship, the town of Gaildorf wants to encourage the scholarship holder to engage artistically with Gaildorf, the Limpurger Land and its history. It is hoped that the artistic work will lead to a dialog with the local population. This can take place in freely selectable projects.
It is customary for the town of Gaildorf to acquire a work by the scholarship holder within the scope of its financial resources.
