Tuttlingen Art Scholarship

The medium-sized town of Tuttlingen in the south of Baden-Württemberg is located in the Upper Danube valley and close to Lake Constance. Tuttlingen is known for the beauty of its region and as a world center for medical technology.

This is the second time that a dedicated cultural group has awarded a scholarship in the cultural sector, this time in the field of visual arts. For three months (May 1 to July 31, 2026), an artist has the opportunity to work on an artistic project on site in Tuttlingen. Although there is a residency requirement, goodwill can be expected if there are other commitments.

The position is supervised and supported by the “Tuttlingen Cultural Scholarship Working Group”, which is affiliated with the cultural association KUKAV e.V. (Kulturkastenverein Tuttlingen). The working group establishes networks between the scholarship holder and other cultural workers in the city and thus ensures a lively exchange.

The scholarship holder is expected to be willing to offer studio visits and artist talks and to invite to at least one exhibition or final presentation. In addition, own ideas for interaction with and in the city are also welcome. Knowledge of German is therefore desirable. There is an age limit of 45 years. Applicants should not be receiving another scholarship at the same time.

The financial support amounts to 1500 euros with free accommodation and use of the studio. Travel expenses will not be reimbursed.
