Non-open art-in-architecture competition with preceding open, anonymous application procedure with ideas for the new police center in Neubrandenburg
Type of competition
There will be a Germany-wide, non-open art-in-architecture competition with a preceding open, anonymous application process with an idea contribution. Ten participants will be selected by a jury.
The competition language is German.
Realization costs/ processing fees
100,000 euros (incl. VAT) are available for the realization of the selected contribution. This includes in full the fee for the artist(s), production, delivery, installation of the art at the location in Neubrandenburg and ancillary costs.
Participants in the 2nd stage of the competition will receive a processing fee/expense allowance of 1.500 euros (incl. VAT) upon submission of a verifiable competition entry.
No separate compensation will be paid for expenses incurred for voluntary participation in an on-site consultation colloquium (travel expenses, accommodation costs).
No prize money will be paid.
Application procedure
The application documents to be submitted must include:
- Fully completed application form
- Idea sketch and textual explanation of the idea together on 1 page DIN A3
- CV and list of exhibitions (proof of professionalism), max. 1 page DIN A4 per member of the consortium. If there is no training at an art academy or similar institution, the list of exhibitions must provide evidence of continuous artistic activity that meets professional standards.
- Text on the artistic position, max. 1 page DIN A4 of the working group
- Illustration and written explanation of at least 1 and a maximum of 2 reference objects, maximum 1 page DIN A3 per reference object
A reference example is a work of art that has been created or a design for a work of art that has not yet been created.
