Voluntary associations are at the heart of local community life. They bring people together and promote democratic coexistence. But what can we do legally if people start using racist slogans in the local sports club? How can clubs protect themselves from right-wing extremist takeovers in their statutes? And what is the legal basis for claims that a club is supposed to be politically neutral or apolitical?
In this event, we will talk about the legal possibilities and limits of protecting your own association against extreme right-wing positions (in the articles of association). We will provide information on how far an association can position itself politically without jeopardizing its non-profit status. Maik Kristen is in charge of the content. He is a lawyer specializing in association law, in particular on issues relating to articles of association.
The workshop is free of charge and takes place online via Zoom. Register here
