Maximilian Koch in Undenheim

MAXIMILIAN KOCH captures the presence of places, objects, and, above all, people in his drawings and prints. He is concerned with “careful observation and an intense grasp of spatiality, physicality, and the time it takes to see.”

The @bernhardt_stiftung estate in Undenheim is serving as the (open-air) studio for our PLEINAIR RHEINHESSEN this year. Thirteen artists will spend four days working in the historic rooms of the estate and in the garden on the theme of “PORTRAIT.” And they’ll welcome you with a special artistic treat.

Would you like to watch the artists at work and get to know them? And are you perhaps curious about embarking on a personal adventure with art? You are cordially invited to have your portrait drawn or painted.

Visiting hours during the event:
Mon, June 15, through Thu, June 18, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. each day

Exhibition hours:
Saturday, June 20, from 2:00–5:00 p.m.; Sunday, June 21, from 11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.

The resulting works will be presented on Friday evening, June 19, 26, starting at 6 p.m., at the opening reception, accompanied by wine and music, and will remain on display throughout the weekend.
