Light, space and perception are the themes with which Andrea Flemming works. Her art is multidisciplinary, encompassing photography, sculpture, installation and site-specific interventions. Andrea Flemming is interested in the levels of spatial perception that are linked to our sensations and experiences. She questions these conditions and structures and tries to develop them anew in a playful way. The mirror functions as a medium that creates identity: the familiar surroundings are given a new order. The splintered image becomes an ornament with new affiliations.
