“LINKING – Collage as a method” – Group exhibition & workshop in Wiesbaden
The exhibition is dedicated to the Walkmühle artists’ association is exploring an exciting question: can collage not only be an artistic practice, but also a model for social processes?
Three curators have each designed a room, invited colleagues and interwoven different artistic styles. In this way, each exhibition space itself becomes a collage. In the room “Geschichtete Geschichten – visuelle Konstruktionen des Denkens” curated by Stefanie Kettel, works by Billa Burger, Stefanie Kettel and Dieter Schwer can be seen alongside my sculptural works. Fragments of images and texts encounter breaks, superimpositions and rearrangements – and open up questions such as: What is revealed beneath the surface? What narratives emerge when the past is combined with the new?
