Every two years, the K 52 Art Foundation announces a scholarship for artists aged 45 and over, which is awarded according to the Foundation’s financial resources.
The Foundation supports the visual arts. The scholarships are intended to support artists residing in Germany from the age of 45, as there are virtually no scholarship programs for artists in this age range. The aim is to support artists whose work is characterized by high quality.
The criterion for funding is the artistic quality of the individual works as well as the overall work of the applicants as presented in the submitted materials.
The application should provide a good overview of the artistic work and in particular the artistic development. No originals may be submitted. The jury will only consider applications comprising a maximum of 20 printed pages in A4 format – including a maximum of 2 pages of CV and a maximum of 5 pages of artistic statement. As an option, a CD or USB stick can be submitted in addition to the images in the case of a largely electronic or filmic work. A maximum of 3 clips can have a playback length of 3 minutes each. It is mandatory to provide a valid e-mail address via which the applicant can be contacted.
Application deadline: May 26, 2026 (postmark)
