The Schaufler Residency@TU Dresden goes into the next round: For the year 2026 the Schaufler Lab@TU Dresden – a joint project of the Dresden University of Technology and the THE SCHAUFLER FOUNDATION – is once again offering a six-month artist in residence. International artists or collectives from the fields of media art, conceptual art, performance and related fields are invited to apply with innovative projects.
The aim is to develop artistic perspectives on the key theme of the second funding phase of the Lab “Data↔Worlds. Socio-technical and cultural syntheses of new realities ” and to set new impulses at the interface of art, science and society together with TUD researchers.

Who can apply?
We are looking for committed international artists or collectives who:
- represent a clear artistic position,
- have experience in transdisciplinary work,
- show an interest in scientific contexts and collaborative research,
- can work on site (by arrangement) and
- communicate very well in German or English.
