This year’s members’ meeting took place on Saturday, April 26, 2025, with a good atmosphere and ideal support from the Stendal Music and Art School. Due to the distance to the regions with a large number of members and the rail replacement service arranged at short notice, very few members attended. However, as hoped, five artists from the Altmark region were present.
The actions of the Executive Board and the office were approved, the plans for 2025 were adopted, auditors and delegates for the Federal Delegates’ Assembly in November were elected and the rules of procedure for the General Assembly were updated. If the membership fee of the BBK Federal Association is raised – as proposed – by EUR 4.80 to a total of EUR 31.80 (previously EUR 27.00), the membership fee of the BBK Saxony-Anhalt is to be increased to EUR 120.00 from 2026 (previously EUR 110.00) and to EUR 31.80 for senior citizens (previously EUR 27.00). The members also voted in favor of a reduced membership fee from 2026 in addition to the monthly expense allowance of 25.00 euros in recognition of voluntary work on the board.
Finally, the members exchanged views on attacks by right-wing extremists on the democratic foundations of our coexistence. The Executive Board obtained an opinion on how to deal with the threat of infiltration and on communication strategies with cultural-political parliamentarians from the far-right spectrum.
