At this year’s Magdeburg Kunst/Mitte art fair, we will be providing information about our projects and concerns. Formats such as “Generally Fresh”, “Artists in Schools” and “Visual Arts Database” increase the visibility of professional contemporary art, communicate it to young people and draw attention to the impending loss of cultural heritage. Our region in Focus 2025 is also part of the package: the Altmark.
The Berufsverband Bildender Künstler Sachsen-Anhalt represents around 400 visual artists. The direct benefits of membership include weekly updates on calls for proposals and cultural policy as well as professional advice, further training opportunities and reduced participation fees for BBK projects such as the “visible market” or the “open studios”.
