From animated adventures to note poetry: for the 29th time, the State Chancellery and Ministry of Culture of Saxony-Anhalt are awarding prizes for contributions that make young people’s perspectives visible and audible in a creative way. Under the motto “Go for it!”, children and young people up to the age of 21 can submit their works to the Children and Youth Culture Prize until April 1, 2026.
Whether loud or quiet, colorful or minimalist, wild or profound: The competition, which is organized in cooperation with the .lkj) – Landesvereinigung kulturelle Kinder- und Jugendbildung Sachsen-Anhalt e. V., aims to give young, creative people a stage – for their works, their thoughts, their questions and visions. Anyone who has good ideas, has something to say or wants to make a difference can take part. You can submit your own songs, dance or theater pieces, films, photos, podcasts, works of art or literary texts. Actions in urban spaces or district projects are also welcome. Adults may provide support – but the impetus and the creative part should come from the participants.
There are prizes with a total value of 6,500 euros to be won. In addition to the five-member expert jury – consisting of representatives from various cultural sectors – a children’s and youth jury will also decide who receives one of the eleven awards.
