Vorwerk-Stift
Basic requirements – 19 apartments, from 22 sqm (€ 395) to 37 sqm (€ 445) Duration of use: 2 years (with possibility of extension)- (shared shower and WC on the floors)- Work areas: Roof studio, cellar, garden- Workspaces: photo lab, music practice room, wood workshop- Exhibition spaces: Gallery, corridors, terrace, garden- Events: Information at www.vorwerkstift.de- Opportunity to get to know other people from the artistic field and to work together with them- Practice of an artistic activity, also in your own creative development as an autodidact, – Willingness to take on joint tasks in the Künstlerhaus Vorwerk-Stift project,- Willingness to cooperate with neighbors (Karoviertel) … and low income (e.g. §5 certificate, proof of income).
Applications from artists who have applied for asylum in Hamburg are expressly welcome.
Application procedure
Complete the attached 3-page application in full and send it together with your work to STIFTUNG FREIRAUM e.V., c/o Kai Haberland, Baumkamp 56, 22299 Hamburg.
Only applications received at this address by April 17, 2024 (by 6:00 p.m.) at the latest will be considered.
Of all applicants, those who have been shortlisted will be invited to a personal interview from 19 to 21.03.2026*. If you are invited, you will receive an invitation by post or email. During the interview, a decision will be made as to who will be placed on the waiting list to rent a vacant apartment at
Vorwerk-Stift. As soon as an apartment becomes available, the first person on the list will receive a notification. The first apartments are expected to be available in the summer of
2026, with more available in the course of 2026.
