Are you about to sign a contract or have a negotiation ahead of you? Katja Dunkel will advise you personally and help you to be well prepared and will look at the draft contracts with you.

Katja Dunkel, founder of DUNKEL Rechtsanwältinnen, advises private individuals, solo self-employed persons and small to medium-sized companies. She supports artists in all areas of media and copyright law and represents clients in all matters of trademark, press and expression law. She has a strong focus on working with agencies, screenwriters and production companies. She is involved in series and cinema productions and is active in the areas of contract drafting and advice as well as final contract negotiations in the field of film and author law. She studied law at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität in Münster. After her first state examination, she went to England for an LL.M. degree (specializing in commercial law) and then completed her legal clerkship in Cologne and New York. After working as legal counsel and data protection officer in a Berlin start-up, she worked as a lawyer at JBB Rechtsanwälte in the field of media and copyright law. In 2021 she founded the law firm DUNKEL RICHTER. The company has been commercially active since October 2024 and manages projects such as a Queer Law Clinic and various seminars. Since October 1, 2024, Katja has been working under her new law firm DUNKEL Rechtsanwältinnen.
