Two brothers – A photographer and a painter – Hans-Joachim Schubert, Wolfram Schubert |
What unites both artists is their trained eye and sure hand and, increasingly with age, their themes. No haste, nothing is left to chance in what is depicted, whether nature, architecture or life and the human being at its center; everything is carefully composed and condensed, but does not lack the desire to experiment. They retain their curiosity about entering and mastering uncharted spaces. The certainty of the means used is fed by an almost inexhaustible knowledge of historical techniques and the experience of implementation, which both have also passed on to younger generations of artists as teachers.
