Salary, prices, agreements – we have to negotiate a lot. But how do we do it well? With arguments or with tricks? With pressure or by giving in? Instead of dealing with clichés and myths about negotiating, in this workshop we look at our own goals and practise achieving a good result together with the other party in a fair way. The workshop rehearses negotiations and helps with analysis from preparation to implementation and follow-up. This practice is useful everywhere: at work – and in everyday life.
This course will teach you the following:
- Preparing for negotiations: position and interest
- Situations: Salary, price, conflicts
- Negotiation strategies
- Recognize and defuse communicative tricks and try them out yourself
- Finding your own style: Exercises and applications
What you will take away with you:
How to recognize and use your negotiating style to your advantage.
Course leader: Mathias Hamann, coach for managers and career starters, trainer at the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes, Ernst&Young and the professional network MentorMe, German runner-up in debating, manager with experience in numerous negotiations with authorities, companies and in job interviews.
