An art project by the Fontana Collective that transforms empty spaces in Engen into cultural meeting places and invites artists to shape the small town. To be there and away: great enthusiasm, euphoria or delight. Towards, to feel attracted, to be enraptured. To be away, a state of trance and the absence of consciousness.there and away as a state of in-between: a departure, into an intermediate space where enthusiasm meets closeness, where rapture meets distance. A place where amazement spreads, transformation occurs and letting go happens. A period of silence, a breath between moments in which we lose ourselves and are completely present at the same time. We surrender, arrive in the unknown, driven by wanderlust and a longing that leads through the blur. An awakening happens, a floating away, an escape. Everything shifts, we step out of the frame, feel emotion, the grace of the promising, the small eternity of transition, where we are there and gone, vanished and at the same time completely present.
