The application phase for the ninth edition of the FBZ art award starts on December 23, 2025. Artists residing within the EU can apply for the FBZ art award 2026 worth up to €10,000, awarded by the Research and Treatment Center for Mental Health (FBZ) at Ruhr-Universität Bochum. The aim of the art award is to destigmatize mental disorders and psychotherapy. We are looking for works on the subject of mental health, which can include genres ranging from painting, sculpture, drawings and graphics to photography. Installations are also conceivable, provided their size allows for a presentation in the rooms of the FBZ psychotherapy outpatient clinics. As an important location for mental health, the FBZ would like to make a contribution to an appreciative and contextually appropriate approach to everyday treatment by exhibiting the works of art.
