The Völklingen Ironworks invites artists from Germany, France, Belgium and Luxembourg to bring the iconic industrial facilities of the UNESCO World Heritage Site to life through video art. We are looking for extraordinary projector mapping works with sound that transform the monumental architecture into new, unexpected worlds. The works should be site-specific and go into depth: look behind the surface, make structures legible and open up new perspectives.
The selected entries will be presented in a spectacular open-air setting at the FORGE Video Mapping Festival on Erzplatz from May 29 to 31, 2026. A jury will select one outstanding work; the audience will also choose their favorite during the festival.
