The Other Way Around is a showcase of print art production relating to Dortmund and the Ruhr region. To emphasize the artistic freedom and diversity of expression in printmaking, the exhibition deliberately refrains from focusing on a specific theme. Instead, it shows works in different printmaking techniques that explore both traditional and experimental approaches.
The exhibition is being held as part of the Day of Printmaking, which celebrates the inclusion of traditional printing techniques in the German UNESCO Commission’s nationwide list of intangible cultural heritage on March 15, 2018. Since then, numerous events have shown just how vibrant this cultural heritage is – even beyond Germany’s borders.
Participating artists: Debora Ando, Franca Bartholomäi, Marc Bühren, Marta Colombo, Inessa Emmer, Antje Hassinger, Karoline Hoffmann-Pudelko, Berk Karabag, Martin Kesper, Roman Klonek, Janna Leonards, Max Rüthers, Maria Schleiner, Nana Seeber, Bärbel Thier-Jaspert, Unterdruck.
