The Künstlerbahnhof Ebernburg e.V. association gives young international artists or those with interesting biographies the opportunity to develop their artistic skills independently during a residency. There are exhibitions of the scholarship holders, but also of other innovative artists from the variety of forms of all directions of free art, in special exhibitions also the applied directions.
The listed station also offers a platform for those who – in the broadest sense – confront the current problems of the world and express this in an appropriate and profound formal language.
Amidst the wild and romantic rocky nature of the Nahe Valley on the edge of the wine and spa towns of Bad Münster-Ebernburg and Bad Kreuznach, there are unique opportunities for artists and visitors to harmonize the experience of nature and the artistic process. For visitors not only in exhibitions, but also in the rooms of the station during participatory projects, workshops, music and theater performances, performances or lectures and last but not least in the wide nature trails that start around the station. The new board of the association would like to open up to a diverse program and the interests of visitors and residents of the immediate and wider area in vernissages and finissages, in the various formats mentioned and in the choice of themes, and invites all interested parties to participate and contribute ideas. Meetings à la “museum café” and cooperation with other cultural and social institutions are also planned for this contact.
