A practice-oriented training program for art teachers, trainee teachers, students and interested guests.
What does contemporary art have to do with the lives of young people? How can access to images be created in the context of art lessons? What practical and experimental methods can learners use to approach contemporary art?
At this year’s Art Day, we will spend two days working in the Moritzburg Art Museum and at the BURG. We will visit the museum’s current exhibition and try out practical and experimental approaches to contemporary art. The works of art on display offer a wide range of current themes and surprising formats. In their mediation, they enable references to the lifeworlds of pupils and to pressing contemporary issues, including community, climate change, ecology and sustainability. Through the practical experiences of the participants and joint art didactic reflections, the symposium will provide concrete impulses for transferring them into your own art lessons.
The Art Conference is a cooperation between LISA, the Chair of Art Education and Art Didactics at the BURG and the Saxony-Anhalt branch of the BDK e.V. Fachverband für Kunstpädagogik.
