International Art Prize for artists up to the age of 35

Together with Monopol – Magazin für Kunst und Leben, the Degussa company is launching an international art prize. The Young Generation Art Award is aimed at emerging artists at the beginning of their careers. The aim of the art award is to accompany promising artists on their way into the art world, to promote talent and to inform the public about current artistic creation.

Five artists are nominated for the prize shortlist, presented in the Monopol art magazine and invited to an exhibition. A jury of experts selects the winner from this shortlist.

Conditions of participation:
Artists up to the age of 35 (deadline May 30, 2026) from the fields of fine arts, photography, video, media and installation art are eligible to participate. No academic training is required. By registering, participants agree to the conditions of the call for entries.

Application documents:
An informative digital artist portfolio (as a pdf with max. 8 MB). Most of the works presented in the portfolio must be available for a possible exhibition. In addition, a short biography relating to the artist’s career with current contact details and an artist’s statement must be enclosed.

Prizes:
a) Degussa Goldhandel presents the “Young Generation Art Award” with prize money of 10,000 euros. The winner also receives an international traveling exhibition.

b) The selected shortlisted artists (with the exception of the prizewinner) will receive a shortlist exhibition fee of 3,000 euros.
