The prize is awarded by the Alfred Weigle Foundation and the Museum Wiesbaden
The Maria Sibylla Merian Prize with prize money of € 15,000.00 is aimed at aspiring female artists and natural scientists. In each case, € 7,500.00 is available for the realization of a printed work that should receive special attention.
The prize will be awarded every two years from 2025.
