Residency periods and focus

  • January – mid-March 2027
    For artists living in Austria in the fields of painting, photography, sculpture, installation, graphic art, media art & new media art, design, architecture and art & science.
  • End of March – beginning of June 2027
    For artists living in Austria in the fields of painting, photography, sculpture, installation, graphic art, media art & new media art, design, architecture and art & science.
  • Mid-June – mid-July 2027
    For artists from the fields of dance, choreography and performance.
  • End of July – mid-December 2027
    For international artists in the fields of painting, photography, sculpture, installation, graphic art, media art & new media art, design, architecture and art & science.

Bildraum Studio in the Brotfabrik Vienna

A spacious studio and an inspiring meeting place at the same time – Bildrecht ‘s 170 m2 Bildraum Studio offers the opportunity to realize and present large-format works and expansive projects. In addition to the workspace with underfloor heating, the studio includes a separable sleeping area, a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom & WC, storage space and an art terrace in front.

The Bildraum Studio is made available on the basis of an open call and following a decision by the SKE jury. The projects developed on site are partially financed by Bildrecht on the basis of a fixed FairPay fee.
