Open Call “Women.Life.Climate”

Exhibition in Berlin 7.8. – 18.9.2026, Tue. and Fri., 5-8 p.m.

In a public call for entries, we invite international artists to submit contributions for the theme described below for a juried group exhibition in our exhibition spaces.

Women all over the world are fighting against the climate crisis. Both visibly, such as Luisa Neubauer, German activist, Anne Hidalgo, Mayor of Paris or Vanessa Nakate, African climate ambassador, and in numerous ways in everyday life. Structural and geographical conditions ensure that women can be particularly affected by climate change. At the same time, they are still underrepresented in political decision-making processes and technical climate professions. We ask the international artists: What does the work of these active women for climate protection look like?

The exhibition will be planned and realized with their works in a resource-saving manner. The artists are asked to state the percentage of reused material in their work. For us as a team, sustainability is not only content, but also practice.

We are accompanying the exhibition with a dialog-oriented program. Artists and external participants are cordially invited to contribute their own ideas for lectures, workshops, readings or other formats.

Disciplines: object, sculpture, installation, photo, painting, drawing, printmaking, video with credits, sound is possible. Performative contributions (performance, DJ, concert, etc.) to the vernissage, artist talk or finissage are expressly welcome.

Individual artists or existing artist groups can apply online with a maximum of three works.

Closing date: May 29, 2026
