Opening on October 23, 2025 an exhibition on the subject of solar punk. What is Solar Punk?
Solar punk is an undercurrent of science fiction and counters the cynicism of prevailing dystopias with hope for a bright future. Solar punk makes us dream and can serve as a role model for a future that unites technology, ecology and society and stands for a climate-friendly, healthy tomorrow. Solar Punk stories are based on a positive moral development of mankind: Questions of education, sexuality and gender are viewed through the lens of left-wing social optimism. The punk perspective is also interesting for us: What can solar punk be? What associations and ideas come to mind? And critical aspects should also play a role: Will we lose control of AI technology because we are too susceptible to power? And if we always do everything right, where is the pleasure, sensuality, the celebration of life and where is the punk? What do we mean by that?
