Riesa, former Muskator works
The ibug festival combines historical industrial culture with urban art, creating multi-layered spaces of experience. In a process lasting several months, abandoned places are temporarily brought to life. The result is an appreciative, inspiring working environment with space for social interaction, interdisciplinary exchange and artistic creation.
For the 2026 edition, we cordially invite artists from all areas of urban art to develop site- and space-related works and to be inspired by the architecture, history and atmosphere of the location.
The artistic means are not fixed: Painting, installation, sculpture, mixed media, experimental or conceptual approaches – everything is welcome. The works are created on site and remain permanently on the premises.
Once you have been accepted, the desired materials can be organized and ordered via ibug.
Do you have the time and desire to implement your artistic contribution together with us between 25-31 July or 1-8 August 2026? Would you like to get involved in an unknown area, enter into new collaborations and be inspired by international artists?
