Starting as ‘Hi Seoul Festival’ in 2003, it changed its name to Seoul Street Arts Festival (SSAF) in 2016 and has since established itself as South Korea’s representative outdoor arts festival.
By utilizing public spaces such as plazas and streets in the city as its venue, the festival showcases a diverse range of street arts performance over two or three days every autumn.
As same as last year, the festival is looking for International programs to enrich the festival in 2026.
Street theater, dance, circus, puppets, installation, media and various types of contemporary arts which can be presented under the outdoor conditions can apply for the open call.
This year, SSAF plans to invite works that align with the unique characteristics of Han River Parks,
as well as pieces centered around themes such as “Seoul-ness”, “Climate and Environment”, “Community and Inclusion”, “Tech-Art Convergence”.
It should be nice for us to have artists who will explore various spaces in SSAF and adapting to them.
All the companies and artists who are interested in the festival can apply.
